Our story

I built Pebblio to take the awkwardness out of lending to people you love.

Lending to a friend or a family member is almost never about the money. It's about the small worry that sits there afterwards, and the reminder you can't quite bring yourself to send.

    Pebblio removes both.

    Why Pebblio exists

I lost count of the friends who came to me annoyed about money someone owed them. Sometimes they honestly remembered different things about when it was meant to be repaid. More often, neither wanted to make a fuss about chasing it, so nobody said anything and they drifted apart instead.

My working life has been spent in private capital markets, where well-defined agreements and clear structures let large sums move without anyone lying awake about it. Lend £2,000 to a friend and you usually get a WhatsApp message and a knot in your stomach.

“The awkward parts are the conversation at the start and the reminder weeks later. Pebblio takes care of both, so neither one falls to you.”

Nobody has to remember what was agreed, because it's written down and you both signed it. Nobody has to send the awkward reminder, because the app sends it. And nothing about it feels like a demand, because it was set up together, before any of it was uncomfortable.

Pebblio never touches your money. It moves directly between the two of you, as it always did.

    What I believe

    Clarity protects relationships

    Nobody should have to chase

The reminder comes from the app, on a date you both picked. You never have to be the one who brings it up.

    Structure isn't suspicion

Writing it down is a kindness to both people. It should feel like being organised, never like trust has run out.

You both see the same thing

One shared record and one shared schedule, open to both of you. No guessing where things stand, and no two versions of what was agreed.

    Try it for free

Set it up in a minute, then stop thinking about it.

Your first loan is free. Loans after that are £3.99, paid once by whoever sets it up.
